Child Care Provider Portal Information What is the DCF Child Care Provider Portal? The Child Care Provider Portal (CCPP) is a secure website, available 24/7, where regulated Wisconsin Child Care Providers can manage their child care business using any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an Internet connection. The CCPP enables child care programs to: Submit background checks on individuals affiliated with the child care program View background check eligibility status and notices View Wisconsin Shares authorizations and payment details Update child care prices for the center (required for licensed centers participating in the Wisconsin Shares program) Send a request to end a Wisconsin Shares authorization for a child who is no longer attending or has never attended the program Receive Wisconsin Shares notices and other communication from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families Report days (or weeks) the child care program will be closed so a parent can request an authorization to an alternate provider during the closure View YoungStar quality rating information and documents View certain Licensing, Certification and Registry details/documents Pay background check fees and/or licensing and certification fees (Milwaukee Certification only) using the E-Payment module NOTE: Beginning November 20, 2026, you need a MyWisconsin ID to log in to the Provider Portal. What is MyWisconsin ID? DCF and many other State of Wisconsin organizations are moving towards a single personal account (known as MyWisconsin ID) for each provider to secure private access to participating Wisconsin government resources. With your single account (MyWisconsin ID) you will be able to access multiple State of Wisconsin applications. Note: The change of the applications that require use of your MyWisconsin ID will occur over time. Not all applications/systems have changed to MyWisconsin ID yet. What Do I Need to Do? If you already have a MyWisconsin ID,you are all set. Use that ID to login and access the Provider Portal starting after 6 p.m. on November 20, 2026. If you do not have a MyWisconsin ID, you must create a new account to login and access the Provider Portal. Go to the MyWisconsin ID webpage, and click on the Sign Up link. You must transition your Provider Portal account to a MyWisconsin ID before 6 p.m. on January 10, 2027, or you risk complete loss of access to your Provider Portal account.
