Security Access Guide for Child Care Agency Workers

There are multiple child care systems that Child Care Agency Workers must access in order to assist clients. Those systems include, but are not limited to:

Below is a simplified guide to help Child Care Agency Workers request access, modify access for existing users, and end system access.

Note: Links to instructions listed below are supplemental. Step-by-step guides to completing each access request may require duplicate steps found in this guide. Most forms need a signature from supervisors, child care coordinators, and security officers.

Submission Instructions

Please submit one pdf per form to DCF Service Desk. Also, please make sure forms are complete and have proper signatures. We will not be accepting electronic signatures.

To End Access

If a worker leaves the agency, the local security office is responsible for informing DCF Security to end all systems access. The forms linked in the steps below may be filled out to end system access and should be sent to the noted contacts.

 

For WAMS, CARES/CWW, WebI Access

Web Access Management System (WAMS) ID

You need to indicate your WAMS ID for some of these other request forms.

  1. Go to: https://on.wisconsin.gov/WAMS/home
  2. Follow the Self Registration link.
  3. Remember the ID and password you create.
  4. Upon submission of the profile information, an email will be sent to you with a confirmation link. You must click the confirmation link in order to activate your WAMS account.

WAMS accounts are supported by DOA's Wisconsin Helpdesk. If you have questions or problems setting up your account, please call the Wisconsin Helpdesk at 608-261-4400 or 866-335-2180.

CARES Worker Web (CWW)

CWW is used for eligibility determination of public benefits, including child care.

  1. Obtain a WAMS ID. (See instructions above.)
  2. To obtain access, fill out the CARES Automated Systems Access Request.
  3. Go to  CARES Automated Systems Access Request
    • Download and complete the form.
    • Instructions for CARES Access are here.
       
  4. There are spaces for electronic signatures of the user, supervisor, and security officer. Please complete the form with all necessary electronic signatures.
  5. Email completed form to: 

Web Intelligence Access (WebI)

WebI is used for viewing reports for child care programs not available in the other systems (i.e. child care subsidy CSAW, CCPI, WISCCRS, and YSCMS).

  1. Go to the WebI Access Request Form DCF-F-13916
  2. Download and complete the access request form.

  3. You must print the WebI Access Request Form and obtain physical signatures from the user, supervisor, and security officer.
  4. Scan and email the completed form to:  DCFSecurity@wisconsin.gov. Or fax the completed form to: 608-327-6420 Attention: DCF Security

 

For DWD Login (WIEXT), CSAW, CCPP, WISCCRS, and YoungStar CMS

Create DWD Wisconsin Login ID (WIEXT ID)

You need to indicate your Wisconsin Login ID on the CSAW/CCPP, WISCCRS and YoungStar access request forms listed below.

Try to create the same ID for your Wisconsin Login ID as your WAMS ID. If you have set up an ID for Wisconsin Unemployment Benefits, you already have a WIEXT ID and may use that.

  3. Upon submission of the profile information, you are finished with this step.
  4. Remember the ID and password you create.

WIEXT accounts are supported by DWD. If you have questions, problems, or need to reset your password, contact DWD ITSC at 608-266-7252.

Child Care Statewide Administration on the Web (CSAW) and Child Care Provider Portal (CCPP) Access

CCPP is used by Child Care Providers to view MyWiChildCare information.

  1. Obtain your DWD Wisconsin Login. (See instructions above.)
  2. Go to DCF-F-DWSW13358e
  3. Download and complete the DCF-F-DWSW13358e access request form.
  4. You must print the DCF-F-DWSW13358e form and obtain physical signatures from the user, supervisor, child care coordinator, and security officer.
  5. Scan and email the completed form to:  DCFSecurity@wisconsin.gov. Or fax the completed form to: 608-327-6420 Attention: DCF Security.

Retro Privilege

Retro privileges for CSAW are now included in the Coordinator profile

Wisconsin Child Care Regulation System (WISCCRS) Access

WISCCRS is used for processing certification and licensing applications, enforcements, and monitoring information.

  1. Obtain your DWD Wisconsin Login. (See instructions above.)
  2. Go to DCF-F-2666
  3. Download and complete the WISCCRS Access Request Form.
  4. New User Instructions are here.
    • You must print the 2666 form and obtain physical signatures from the user, supervisor, child care coordinator, and security officer.
  5. Scan and email the completed form to: DCFSecurity@wisconsin.gov. Or fax the completed form to: 608-327-6420 Attention: DCF Security.

YoungStar Case Management System Access

YoungStar is used to view information about provider rating details.

  1. Obtain your DWD Wisconsin Login. (See instructions above.)
  2. Go to YoungStar Web Application Access Form DCF-F-4095 
  3. Download and complete the YoungStar Web Application - DCF-F-4095 access request form.
  4. You must print the form and obtain physical signatures from the user and supervisor.
  5. Fax the completed form to: 608-267-7252 Attention: DCF YoungStar Unit.
