The State of Wisconsin Division of Milwaukee County Child Protective Services (DMCPS) is a division within the Department of Children and Families. DMCPS is responsible for the administration for child welfare services in Milwaukee County. DMCPS's vision is having safe children and healthy families in Milwaukee County. To achieve our vision, we will respond to concerns of child safety and through partnership with families and the community, focus on keeping children safely at home. The purpose of the child protective services system is to keep children safe and to support families to provide safe, permanent, and nurturing home for their children.
