MCCYN-PLUS Child Care Fee Assistance for Military Families

Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood-PLUS (MCCYN-PLUS) helps eligible military families reduce their out-of-pocket child care costs when on-base options are not available. Wisconsin's partnership with the U.S. Department of War (DoW) connects military families with an expanded pool of community child care providers participating in YoungStar, the state's quality rating and improvement system (QRIS).

I am a military-connected family looking for care.

To find available care, please visit the DoW's Child Care Network website.

I am a child care provider looking to participate in the program.

MCCYN-PLUS reflects the high-quality standards established through YoungStar and its alignment with DoW approved standards of care. The original MCCYN program still exists with a stipulation that requires child care providers to have national accreditation. The MCCYN-PLUS program focuses on the QRIS rating of the participating provider and does not require this accreditation.

If you are an eligible child care provider who is interested in participating in the MCCYN PLUS program, you could be joining a nationwide network of providers open to serving 25,000 military families who may be in need of your services. Visit MilitaryChildCare.com for more information.
