Text Messaging Information

Parents using the MyWIChildCare Parent Portal can now sign up to receive text message alerts. A parent will receive an alert when an authorization worker has sent a message to the parent via the Parent Portal. Usually, messages are sent when there are questions about an authorization request. Message and Data Rates May Apply.

Accessing Messages in the Parent Portal

Log in to the Parent Portal. Then select Messages button.

Sign Up to Receive Text Messages

Log in to the Parent Portal. Choose Text Message Settings button.

Enter the cell phone number you want the text messages sent to.

Opt-out from Text Messaging

If you want to stop receiving text messages, or change your cell phone number, log into the Parent Portal and access the Text Messaging Settings.

If you need to change the cell phone number, choose ‘Update Number’ link. To stop receiving messages, change the ‘Authorization Worker Message’ indicator to ‘No’ or reply STOP to a previously received text message.
