MyWIChildCare Parent Portal Text Messaging Information Want to receive text message alerts on your mobile device? Parents using the MyWIChildCare Parent Portal can receive text message alerts from DCF or your local agency when an authorization worker sends you a message via the Parent Portal. Usually, messages are sent when there are questions about an authorization request. Parents can now respond to a worker's message through the Parent Portal. Message and Data Rates May Apply. Accessing and Responding to Messages in the Parent Portal Log in to the Parent Portal. Then select Messages button. Sign Up to Receive Text Message Alerts Log in to the Parent Portal. Choose Text Message Settings button. Enter the cell phone number you want the text message alerts sent to. Make sure Authorization Worker Message is set to Yes, then select Save. Opt-out of Text Messaging Alerts or Change a Phone Number If you want to stop receiving text message alerts, or change your cell phone number, log into the Parent Portal and access the Text Messaging Settings. If you need to change the cell phone number, enter the new phone number and select Save. To stop receiving messages, change the ‘Authorization Worker Message’ indicator to ‘No’ and select Save, or reply STOP to a previously received text message. Ready 4K Text Messages To sign up to receive text messages with fun facts and easy tips to help children under the age of 10 learn and grow, change the Ready4K Message indicator to Yes, then select Save. If you want to stop receiving Ready4K text messages, simply change the Ready4K indicator to No, then select Save.
