Want to receive text message alerts?

Sign up to receive a text message alert when you have a new message in your Parent Portal. You can receive text message alerts when you receive messages via the Parent Portal. Message and data rates may apply.

Sign Up for Authorization Worker/DCF Text Messaging

Follow the steps below to sign up to receive text message alerts.

1. Choose the Text Message Settings button.

2. Enter the cell phone number you want the text message alerts sent to.

3. Change the Authorization Worker Message indicator to Yes if you want to allow texts from your local agency when your authorization worker wants to send you a message. Change the DCF Child Care Message indicator to Yes to receive text messages from DCF.

4. Select Save.

Sign Up for Ready4K Text Messaging

You can sign up to receive text messages with fun facts and easy tips to help children under the age of 10 learn and grow.

To Sign-up for Ready4K Text Messaging, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Text Message Settings button.

2. Enter the cell phone number you want the text message alerts sent to.

3. Change the Ready4K Message indicator to Yes, and choose the language you'd like to receive the message in by choosing the language tab and choosing your preferred language.

4. Select Save.

Review Text Messages

The Messages button takes you to a page where messages will be displayed. There will be a number next to the button if there are new messages that you have not read (see example above).

Select the Reply button to reply to a worker's message. If you do not need to reply, select the I Read It button.

Change a Text Messaging Phone Number

If you want to change your cell phone number, choose the Text Messaging Settings button.

Enter the new phone number and select Save

Opt Out of Text Messaging

If you want to stop receiving text message alerts, reply STOP to a previously received text message or choose the Text Messaging Settings button.

To stop receiving messages, change any of the following indicators to No and select Save.

  • Authorization Worker Message
  • DCF Child Care Message
  • Ready4K Message
