Get Kids Ready

Get Kids Ready Requirement to Not Have a 4K Contract

Information in English

Child care providers participating in Get Kids Ready cannot have a contract with a school district to provide 4K for the school year in which the provider intends to participate in Get Kids Ready.

Verification of Not Having a 4K Contract with a School District

Child care providers can have contracts with a school district for services other than providing 4K and participate in Get Kids Ready. The only contract with a school district that would prevent a child care provider from participating in Get Kids Ready is a contract to provide 4K for the year the child care provider intends to participate in Get Kids Ready.

Child care providers will be asked to attest that they do not have a current contract with a school district to provide 4K for the school year they intend to participate in Get Kids Ready during the Program Eligibility Verification Application. DCF may verify this information in the case of an audit.
