Required Civil Rights Postings Service provider agencies must post the various civil rights compliance posters mandated by the federal and/or state government. Postings must be made in highly conspicuous and visible areas in the agency where customers are likely to be served such as lobbies and waiting areas The Your Rights Posters are form fillable documents. Agencies should fill in the required information and then print the poster. These are formatted to print as 8.5” X 14” and should not be changed. Your Rights Poster - English Your Rights Poster - Spanish Changes from the Previous Version This poster has been updated with the new contact information for the federal Office of Civil Rights. Based on current data, English and Spanish are the required statewide major language groups that meet the Safe Harbor threshold established on page 15 of the State of Wisconsin Civil Rights Compliance Requirements for written language translation of vital documents. A copy of the Your Rights Poster – Hmong is available for agencies and service areas that are required to post the Hmong version because they serve significant numbers of Hmong individuals in their region. Language Interpretation Poster: This is a large poster that displays 45 languages spoken in Wisconsin. Individuals have the right to receive program information in languages they understand, and the purpose of this poster is to assist with identifying these languages. The document is designed to be printed as a 35" x 23" poster for readability. The 08/2023 version should be posted. If the poster is an earlier version or any size other than the intended 35” X 23” size, ensure the poster is replaced in a timely manner to ensure program access. Changes from the Previous Version The following languages have been added and were not on the original poster:Croatian, Dari, Igbo, Indonesian, Pashto, Serbian, Tamil, and Telegu. Dari and Pashto are spoken in Afghanistan, and Wisconsin received many refugees after the fall of the government to the Taliban. The following languages were removed from the original poster:Chin, Dinka, Ewe, Greek, Hungarian, Karenni, Kinkongo, Latvian, Lingala, Maay May, Malay, Mongolian, Oromo, Sudanese, Tigrinya, Twi, Wolof, and Yiddish. Instructions for Ordering Poster Posters will be available through the Department of Administration Document Sales and will be printed upon request. This is a change from previous years when printed posters were available through Regional Administrators.
