Child Welfare CQI Reports

In 2014 DCF remodeled its Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) system. The CQI process identifies areas of strength and areas needing improvement using many sources of data, including, but not limited to case record reviews.

After the completion of the initial round of case reviews in the areas of Access, Initial Assessment, and Ongoing Services, reports were published that provide information on the entire process, including the background, methodology, training and quality assurance of the reviewers, key findings, and next steps. Since the publication of the initial reports, DCF developed an Access dashboard, and will create more dashboards in the future.
