MyWIChildCare Parent Portal Information

The MyWIChildCare Parent Portal is an online system available to parents receiving Wisconsin Shares to help them manage their child care subsidy needs.

To begin using the MyWIChildCare Parent Portal you must first have an ACCESS account. If you do not have an account or forgot your username or password, visit the ACCESS website to create an account or recover your login information. With your ACCESS username and password you can log into your Parent Portal account.

Viewing Authorizations

From the main page, you can click on Authorizations to view current authorizations or request a new authorization. If you have more than one authorization, the page will display them in a list format.

On the Authorization page, you can also view the amount of subsidy benefits you receive for your child(ren) by clicking on the button that says Subsidy Amount Search.

How to Schedule an Authorization Appointment using the Parent Portal.

When it is time to pay your child care provider(s), you can click on the My Account button. On the My Account page, you will see the Make Payments at ebtEDGE button which will take you to the ebtEDGE website.

Sometimes it is easy to miss any notices that come through the mail from the Wisconsin Shares Program. You can find any notices that you have received related to your eligibility and authorization(s) in the Parent Portal. When you click on the Notices Button, found on the main page, it will take you to a screen that displays each notice that you have received; and when you click on each notice, it will open up the letter for you to read on your computer or smartphone.


The Text Message Settings button takes you to a page where you can find out if you receive text messages related to your child care case. If you find your number listed in the box at the top of the page, you have requested this feature. If you do not see your number and would like to receive text messages regarding your child care, call your local income maintenance agency and request the option to receive Ready4K text messaging.

Other features on this site allow you to review any messages you receive from your local agency and any upcoming appointments you may have.
The Parent Portal is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is mobile-friendly.
Remember: This is your account and no one outside of a second parent on your case should have access to it.
