MyWIChildCare Parent Portal Information Información en español The MyWIChildCare Parent Portal is an online child care subsidy management system. It is available to parents who receive Wisconsin Shares. The site is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is mobile-friendly. You can use the Parent Portal to: View your child care authorizations Request a new authorization, or make changes to an existing authorization Schedule an appointment for an authorization worker to call you Check the balance on your MyWIChildCare EBT card and track your payments Track all requests entered in the Parent Portal Sign up to receive a text message alert when you have a new message in your Parent Portal. View notices Log in to the Parent Portal To begin using the MyWIChildCare Parent Portal you must first have an ACCESS account. Visit the ACCESS website to create an account or recover your login information. With your ACCESS username and password, you can log into your Parent Portal account. There are also links and information for ACCESS on this log-in page under Need Help? Reminder: Keep your account details secure and don't share them with others. View Authorization Information (Providers, Authorization Period, Monthly Hours) From the main page, you can click on Authorizations to view current authorizations. If you have no children authorized for child care, the page will be blank (see example below). If you have more than one authorization, they will be displayed in a list (see example below). Request Authorizations From the main page, you can click on Authorizations and then Authorization Request to request a new authorization or make changes to your existing authorization. An information page will pop up, with additional pages to go through to make your request. At the end of the request, be sure to click the submit button to finalize your request for it to be sent to your local agency. View Subsidy Amounts From the main page, you can click on Authorizations and then Subsidy Amount Search to view the subsidy amount you receive for your child(ren). You can search by month and year by changing the month and year in the calendar, at the top. Pay Child Care Provider When it is time to pay your child care provider(s), you can click on the My Account button. On the My Account page, you will see the Make Payments at ebtEDGE button which will take you to the ebtEDGE log-in page. If it is your first time using ebtEdge, you may click on Register Here to register for an ebtEDGE account. You will use the information from your MyWIChildCare EBT card that you received in the mail to add an account. After registering, you can log in with your User ID and Password. View Transaction History To check your transaction history, you can click on the My Account button. On the My Account page, you can click on the Transaction History button which will show you the last three month’s transaction history. You can adjust the dates at the top to view past transactions. Review Notices In the Parent Portal, you can find notices about eligibility and authorization(s). When you click on the Notices Button, it will take you to a screen that displays the date range that you can search for notices that you have received. When you click on the button in the ‘View Document’ column next to each notice, it will open the letter for you. You can change the dates at the top to see more notices and correspondence. Schedule an Authorization Appointment (Milwaukee County Only) You can use the Parent Portal to schedule a phone or video appointment with an agency worker to request a child care authorization or make changes to an existing authorization. Note: To schedule an appointment, you must have an open child care case. Important: If your case is closed, please contact Milwaukee Enrollment Services at 1-888-947-6583. Step 1 - From the home page, select the Appointment List button. Step 2 - Click the Schedule Appointment button. Step 3 - Select if you would prefer a phone or video appointment. After you make your selection, click Next Page button. Note: In-person is not currently available in Milwaukee County. Step 4 - Select an available time slot. If no time slots are available, use the Next Page button to view future appointment time slots. Step 5 - Enter in the comments what you would like to discuss in this appointment. (Please note: If the request is not submitted within 30 minutes, your slot may be taken by another parent). Note: If you need a translator, please click Yes, and enter the language requested in the language box. Step 6 - After the appointment has been scheduled, it will show the scheduled appointments and your status on the Appointment List. Important: If you are having issues with scheduling an appointment, please contact a parent provider liaison for assistance at 1-888-947-6583 (Option 1, 1, 2, 1). View Appointments To view appointments that have been scheduled and their status, choose the Appointment List button. You can click on the Details button for more details. If the status says: Scheduled – The appointment has been made but hasn’t happened yet. Assigned – The appointment request has been assigned to an authorization worker. Completed – The appointment has been completed. Cancelled – The appointment is cancelled. Text Messages Want to receive text message alerts?
