The deadline is Sunday, November 24 at 11:59 p.m. Update/Application Week Reminders Once you are approved for payments, you must update your application each month. New Report: Early Care and Education Programs Funded by DCF’s ARPA CCDBG Awards DCF received funds to support early care and education from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). These funds were required to be spent by September 30, 2024. We are excited to share how this funding has been spent in our Closure Report. Download the full report. Early Childhood Feelings Thermometer Tips for Parents “Help for Parents in Calming Big Feelings in Young Children” is a visual aid for parents to use with their pre-school age children to identify ways to calm challenging behaviors by pointing out activities they can do with their child to shift feelings. Child care providers are encouraged to share it with parents. It is a complimentary piece to the Early Childhood Feelings Thermometer the Wisconsin Office of Children’s Mental Health developed earlier this year. Download and print the tool. Final Reminder: Complete Your Business Information Form Today! All Business Information Forms (BIF) need to be completed by November 30, 2024. If you have not completed your BIF, please check your email for a link to the survey from your local Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agency. The BIF helps provide families, community members, and decisionmakers with valuable information on the state of child care across Wisconsin. Reminder: DCF is Hiring for the Western Regional Licensing Manager The Division of Early Care and Education (DECE), Bureau of Early Care Regulation (BECR), Western Regional Office (WRO) is currently recruiting to fill a Regional Licensing Manager position in Eau Claire, WI, with the option to work hybrid for up to four (4) days per week. The Regional Licensing Manager is the primary representative of the Bureau of Early Care Regulation in the regional office for directing the state's regulatory program for child care programs in the regions, and for carrying out the department's mission, objectives, and goals to protect the health, safety, and welfare of children. The position is responsible for administering regulatory enforcement actions which include legal sanctions and penalties for child care programs found to be out of compliance.
