February 27 Child Care Provider Updates February Child Care Counts Round 4 Initial Application Period is Closed The latest payment program initial application period is closed. Applications for the February Child Care Counts: Stabilization Payment Program Round 4 are being reviewed. Providers will be notified of their eligibility for funds by March 8, 2024, via a payment letter uploaded to the Child Care Provider Portal. The next update period March 16-31, 2024. Spending Deadline Reminder All Stabilization Payment Program funds must be spent within 120 days from the date of the payment letter. See the Use of Funds section of the Frequently Asked Questions for more information. October 2023 funds must be spent by March 9, 2024. SFTA is Offering T-TAP and AHT Train-the-Trainer Events in March and April The Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) Prevention Train-the-Trainer event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 from 1-2:30 p.m. in an online, format. There is a $10 fee to attend. Register on the WI Registry website. The Training and Technical Assistance Professional Foundations (T-TAP Foundations) course will be offered as four virtual face-to-face Zoom sessions on April 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 4-7:30 p.m. The cost is $250. For successful completion of this course, participants will also need to complete an additional 13 hours of self-paced coursework. This additional work consists of the following: Pre-work required to be completed on ECExplorer, SFTA’s Online Learning Management System (LMS) prior to each session. Homework submitted through the LMS within two weeks of the final session (participants must earn a minimum of 15 points). This is the first course in the T-TAP Series. SFTA plans to offer the Trainer Course later this spring for individuals interested in becoming Tier 1, 2, or 3 trainers. Register on the WI Registry website.
