Innovation in Action

Wisconsin is transforming the child welfare system to be more family-focused and collaborative in supporting more children and families in-home. This Putting Families First transformation has activated a shift in how we think about and practice child welfare work.

Putting Families First has been an opportunity to think bigger and more creatively about what support for families can look like. The Department of Children and Families, child welfare agencies and system partners across the state have embraced this opportunity to collaborate with community partners, share knowledge and be innovative as we Put Families First.

Here are just a few examples of the exciting work that’s grown out of our shared commitment to better support children, youth and families together and in-home.
