October 23 Child Care Provider Updates

Updates to the Wisconsin Regulated Child Care Provider Dashboard!

The Department of Children and Families is excited to announce new updates to the Wisconsin Regulated Child Care Provider Dashboard! This user-friendly tool provides publicly accessible data on the regulated child care landscape in Wisconsin.

Along with the total number of active child care providers in Wisconsin and their regulated capacity, users can now view trends in YoungStar ratings of child care providers and explore new details in the child care data download available in Excel and CSV, including program regulated ages served, months and hours or operation, provider contact details, and first regulation date.

The Estimator helps families better understand their subsidy amounts, plan their finances, and helps them make choices about child care in their area. Important Child Care Provider Portal Security Reminders

The Child Care Provider Portal (CCPP) is designed so that child care center owners/directors can update all modules in the CCPP, including the Security module. CCPP security is based on each individual user’s role at the center and can be changed if/when needed.

  • Each staff member who needs access to the portal must create his or her own account, request access, and log in using their own credentials.
  • It is important to know who is submitting or entering information into the system. Note: The system date-stamps who made an entry and when.
  • If shared User IDs are used, the system will record the incorrect individual’s entry. Never share your login credentials.
  • The portal is set up so that different user profiles have different levels of access to the system.

See the CCPP Security User Guide to learn more about establishing security profiles/access for multiple users or ending Portal access for specific individuals.
