During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Division of Early Care and Education (DECE) will send updates to everyone who has subscribed to the DCF Child Care listserv.

August Application Period for Round 2 CCC Stabilization Payment Program Closes Friday, September 2

Time is running out! Complete your Round 2 Child Care Counts: Stabilization Payment Program Round 2 application today! You will need to upload documentation (child attendance and staff records) for the August Count Weeks of August 7-20. This application period is August 22 – September 2.

Important Reminders

  • You must complete and submit a new initial application to be eligible for ongoing monthly payments for Round 2.
  • If you applied in July, much of your information will be copied to the new application. Be sure to review this information carefully and update as needed when submitting the new application.
  • You must upload child and staff verification documents with your initial Round 2 application.

Spending Reminder

All Stabilization Payment Program funds must be spent within 120 days of the date of your payment letter.

  • Payments from April (payment letter date 5/13/2022) must be spent by 9/10/22.

Birth to 3 Overview

Learn more about the Wisconsin Birth to 3 Program! Statewide Birth to 3 Coordinator, Lori Witteman, will be hosting a WECAN training on Tuesday, September 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. The training will include a high level overview of Birth to 3 services, referrals, Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and will end with a Q+A session.

The session will be recorded and sent to registered participants. Individuals must attend the live class to receive Registry credit. This training is ideal for those who want to learn more about the Birth to 3 program and all skill levels are welcome. Register for the training! This project position will serve as a principal program and policy analyst and will consult with and advise leadership regarding the federal American Rescue Plan Act grant currently being implemented by the department. The deadline to apply for this position is September 7.
