Refugee Cash Assistance is a federally funded benefit program which provides temporary assistance to help refugees become self-sufficient during the period immediately after arrival in the United States. Single individuals, childless couples, teen parents, and two-parent families with no children under 18 years of age who meet the financial eligibility standards of Wisconsin Works (W-2) and meet the RCA program's criteria for refugee status may receive benefits under the RCA program. Participants may receive benefits for up to eight months from the date of arrival.
