Wisconsin Uniform Foster Care Rates Wisconsin Uniform Foster Care Rates All licensed foster parents receive a foster care payment to reimburse for the care of a foster child, called the Uniform Foster Care Rate. The foster care licensing agency will provide foster parents with a copy of a brochure explaining the Uniform Foster Care Rate, reimbursement amounts, clothing allowances, and how to appeal the foster care rate.

Medicaid Coverage Medicaid Coverage Foster Care Medicaid refers to all Medicaid provided by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). It is sometimes called Title XIX Medicaid or “straight MA.” Children and youth who receive Foster Care Medicaid include those placed in out-of-home care through a court order (such as with relatives or in a licensed foster home). It also includes those with an active Adoption Assistance or Subsidized Guardianship Agreement, and children under guardianship receiving Long-Term Kinship Care.
Wisconsin Care4Kids Care4Kids The Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Health Services (DHS) are partnering to put a new program in place improving the health of children in out-of-home care. Care4Kids is a new Medicaid program following a medical home model for children in out-of-home care started on January 1, 2014. Care4Kids is a pilot program in six counties in the southeastern region of Wisconsin.
