If you are a refugee or another Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) qualified individual such as asylee, Special Immigrant Visa holder, victim of trafficking, or Cuban/Haitian entrant within your first five years of arrival/obtaining ORR eligible status, you may be eligible for a number of different programs and services such as:

Refugee School Impact Program

The Refugee School Impact Grant helps refugee children ages 5 – 18 succeed in school. This program also helps refugee parents understand the school system and provide the support their children need to succeed.

In 2000 the United Nations General Assembly established June 20 as World Refugee Day. Since 2001, people all over the world have celebrated World Refugee Day (WRD) with events that honor the world’s refugees and raise awareness about their continued plight. Events to honor World Refugee Day are held worldwide, from refugee camps around the world to right here in Wisconsin.
