Town Hall Recording Now Available! July 3, 2026 The Division of Safety and Permanence’s (DSP) spring town halls were held in May, and for those who were not able to attend or wanted to share the presentation with their teams, a video recording of the town hall is now available on our website. DSP’s town halls – held every spring and fall – are an opportunity to share updates on current initiatives, highlight the innovative work happening across the state, and look ahead to future efforts. In May’s sessions, DSP Administrator John Elliott and Deputy Administrator Shelby McCulley covered: Continued efforts to place more children and youth with relatives and like-kin first when they cannot safely remain in their homes. Strengthened support for youth through rule revisions and the new Wisconsin Information and Support Portal (WiSP) application. How Wisconsin is leaning into evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing. Much more! Thank you to those who were able to attend and ask questions, and please feel free to send any questions about the town hall to the Putting Families First team.
