Career Assessment The "Career Assessment" page allows you to add, view, and edit career assessment results that evaluate elements such as work styles, skills, and interests associated to a participant's general case management. Below you will find additional information on what you should expect to see: Answer a Career Assessment question on Informal Assessment - Work History gateway page The “Work History” gateway page of the informal assessment prompts you to ask questions about the participant’s employment status and collect information about their employment history during the informal assessment. It provides you with an abbreviated view of the participant’s work history, which you can see in more detail via the "Work History App". A new question is added on the Information Assessment, “Work History” gateway page, asking, “Have you ever completed a career assessment either online, in a school setting or through a work program?” The worker is required to select from Yes/No/Unknown. When "Yes" is selected, entry into the "Details" field is also required. Accessing the Career Assessment page To access the “Career Assessment” page, select the participant then navigate to the Case Management menu and click on “Career Assessment”. Adding and Saving the Career Assessment page The “Career Assessments” page is opened which offers the [+ Add Career Assessment] button. When [+ Add Career Assessment] button is clicked, the “Add Career Assessment” page is displayed. Initially all fields will be empty. You will be required to enter or select information in the following fields. Optional entry fields are underlined: Elements – The worker can select multiple “Elements”. The following are available to select from: Work Styles Skills Interests Other Completion Date Assessment Provider Assessment Tool Used Assessment Results Contacts Skill Explorer Related Occupation(s) How are the assessment results being applied to the Employability Plan and Activities? When worker clicks [Save] button, WWP will validate whether any fields are invalid or incomplete. When fields do not pass the validation, error messages will be displayed in red at the top of the page. The specific fields associated to the errors will be highlighted in red. The errors will remain and only be removed when the worker corrects the error and clicks [Save] again. View a List of the Career Assessments To view a list of all the Career Assessment results that have been entered for a participant, go to the "Case Management" menu and click on "Career Assessment". From this view, you will see all the participant's Career Assessment results in a single list. Editing Career Assessments Once responses are recorded, they remain until they are updated/edited. You can edit Career Assessment results that have already been added by clicking the edit (pencil) icon, as shown below: Adding a Contact If the participant indicates there is an associated contact you are able to collaborate with, you can record their contact information using the "Contacts app" shown below: For more information on how to manage contacts, see "Manage contact(s) associated with a page". Skill Explorer A link is provided to the Department of Workforce Development’s (DWD) Skill Explorer online application. The purpose of this functionality is to facilitate exploration of occupations that share similar knowledge and skills with an individual’s current job or a job of interest.
