An amount that a provider might: Initially charge to enroll or register the child. Charge on an annual basis to continue the child’s enrollment. Registration fees are not transportation fees, supply fees, late pick-up fees, etc. that a provider charges separately from a registration fee. Is the registration fee per child, per family, or per provider? The registration fee is per child. How much money can I get to pay a registration fee? The department will issue funds for the provider’s fee amount, up to $125. If the provider’s fee is more than $125, you will need to pay the difference out-of-pocket. Each authorized child is eligible to receive this registration fee amount. How often can my child get funds for registration fees? You can receive funds for registration fees twice in a 12-month period for each child with an authorization. If you change providers and have already received funds for registration fees two times, any additional charges would need to be paid out-of-pocket. Families may not receive these funds more than two times within a 12-month period for each child with an authorization. When can I begin requesting funds for registration fees? Starting October 1, you may request funds for registration fees if you are charged a registration fee on or after that date. Local agencies are not able to process requests for registration fees before October 1. How do I request funds to pay a registration fee? Starting in October, you can call your local agency to request funds to pay a registration fee to your provider when your provider charges the fee. Can I request registration fees in the Child Care Parent Portal? No, currently registration fees can only be requested by contacting the local agency. The Parent Portal will be enhanced at a future date. How will I receive these funds? Funds that the department approves for registration fees will be loaded to your MyWIChildCare EBT card, the same as your subsidy funds. You will need to pay these funds to your provider using your EBT card. If you do not pay the additional funds from your card, they will be removed after 90 days, the same as your subsidy funds. If my provider doesn’t charge a registration fee, can I still get additional funds? No, if your provider does not charge a registration fee you cannot receive the additional funds. Additional information will be posted here later this summer. Go Back to the Subsidy Change Page for Parents/Caregivers
