Share your reactions to the draft Wisconsin Early Learning and Development Guidelines!

A complete draft of the updated WI ELDGs is now available for public review! We invite early childhood professionals, families, and the public to review and share feedback by August 21, 2026. 

Your feedback will be used to improve clarity, usability, navigation, consistency, and implementation planning before final publication. 

Here’s how you can share your thoughts: 

1. Read: Please select the section, learning area, or use most relevant to your role or experience. You are not expected to read the entire document unless you choose to.  Review the relevant section(s) of the draft WI ELDGs.

   2. Social and Emotional Development 
   3. Approaches to Learning  
   4. Perceptual, Motor and Physical Development
   5. Language, Communication and Literacy
   6. Cognition and General Knowledge
   7. Family and Community Partnerships
   8. Complete Draft
2. Consider: Think about whether the section you reviewed is clear, useful, easy to navigate, and relevant to your role, family, program, organization, or community.  
3. Respond: The most helpful responses are specific and explain why something is unclear. They also suggest what would make the WI ELDGs easier to understand, access, or use.
