Chapter DCF 56 Wisconsin’s Administrative Code that identifies the licensing requirements for foster homes and foster parents is being updated this year!

Join us for a high-level, 60-minute Zoom presentation that summarizes the general changes that are being made to Chapter DCF 56 in addition to the creation of a new section specific for licensing relatives and like-kin.

In this presentation, you'll learn about:

  • The areas of DCF 56 that are changing and why.
  • How the changes to DCF 56 will remove barriers to licensing relatives and like-kin caregivers for children and youth who cannot safely remain in their homes.
  • What these changes mean for practice.

The presentation is relevant for:

  • County agency directors and child welfare managers and supervisors.
  • Tribal agency directors and child welfare managers and supervisors that adhere to DCF 56 for foster care licensing.
  • Public adoption/child placing agency directors and child welfare managers and supervisors.
