Town Hall Recording Now Available! The Division of Safety and Permanence’s (DSP) fall town halls were held in October, and for those who were not able to attend or wanted to share the presentation with their teams, the town hall is now available on our website in both PDF and video formats. DSP’s town halls – held every spring and fall – are an opportunity to share updates on current initiatives and highlight the innovative, impactful work happening across the state. In October’s session, DSP Administrator John Elliott and Deputy Administrator Shelby McCulley covered: Statewide data on initial placements with relatives, with a closer look at variation across regions and by race, The like-kin legislation and what’s next for implementation, Updates on the ongoing work to simplify and streamline child welfare practice, Agencies’ collaboration with system partners, and much more! Thank you to those who were able to attend and ask questions, and please feel free to send any questions about the town hall to the Putting Families First team.
