November 9 Child Care Provider Updates

Missed Out on Applying for Child Care Counts? You May Qualify to Apply in November!

As a result of the additional $170 million in emergency funding from Governor Tony Evers, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) has reopened initial applications for providers who are not currently enrolled in the Child Care Counts Payment Program. If you were unable to apply for Child Care Counts: Stabilization Payment Program Round 3 , DCF is providing a new opportunity for child care providers to apply beginning with the November update period – November 11-19.

If your program was previously not open or eligible for Child Care Counts in May, June, July, or August, you may now qualify to apply for the remainder of Round 3, beginning with the November application.

Note for Providers already Participating in Child Care Counts

The reopening of initial applications for Round 3 applies to providers who are not currently participating in Round 3. If you met the previous Participation Deadline and are currently participating, you do not need to submit a new initial application. You must continue to update your application every month during Update Week to maintain your eligibility for future payments. Your payments will continue for the remainder of Round 3 as indicated in your August payment letter as long as you continue to follow program terms and conditions.
