Milwaukee Early Care Administration Changing Business Hours Agency to close Thursday afternoons starting February 21 (MADISON) – The Milwaukee Early Care Administration (MECA) is changing its call center and walk-in hours for the Wisconsin Shares child care subsidy program starting Thursday, February 21, 2019. The newly observed hours of operation will impact Thursday afternoons and be as follows: Call Center Monday to Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lobby Monday to Wednesday and Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Families receiving Wisconsin Shares benefits can still request, change or review their current authorization; access payment information; and authorize payment to their child care provider 24 hours a day through the Parent Portal website. The change in hours will allow the agency to focus on improving policies and procedures that allow for timely and accurate payment of Wisconsin Shares benefits.
