I have been working in the field for the last 9 years and have mostly worked with children birth to 5. I have always had a passion for sharing knowledge, so I decided to go into early childhood education and committed myself to providing my students with their best start in life. I believe that education should be an individual and unique experience for every student who enters a classroom. As a professional entrusted with the education of young minds, I try to facilitate learning, academic, personal and ethical growth by providing and extending developmentally appropriate activities and experiences to children as well as providing accommodations, differentiated instruction, and other means of assistance when needed. If we provide a quality education environment to each individual in our classrooms, we will equip students and their families with the tools necessary for success in life.

I had the opportunity to present on Lead Poisoning Prevention and Environmental Learning at the 2019 WECA conference. In my presentation, I talked about the importance of outdoor/nature-based play and its positive impact on brain development, which is critical for children who have experienced lead poisoning.

I am incredibly proud of the relationships that I have built with my children and families over the years. It is incredible to see how families and children benefit from being in partnership with us. I would love to see the field strengthen its image to the world and value and honor teachers as we deserve.
