WWP Help Center – Case Management – Action Needed app The “Action Needed app” displays tasks recorded on any page of the informal assessment. It allows you to update previously-entered items and to enter additional worker or participant items. Case Management Benefits The “Action Needed app” divides tasks by participant and worker. A printable task list is available for the participant to see the actions they need to take, allowing for increased accountability. Workers can check off tasks when completed. Managing Tasks from the Informal Assessment As you are completing the informal assessment, WWP allows you to add task to keep track of action items for both you and the participant. The following pages of the informal assessment allow you to add tasks: Transportation Housing Legal Issues Child and Youth Supports Family Barriers Non-Custodial Parents The “Action Needed” section of each page includes a list of suggestion action items that are customized for that particular page. You also have the option to add a custom task under the label “Other”. An example from the “Housing” page is shown below: To add a new task, click the “+” next to the type of action item you want to select: To add additional details about the task, click the pencil icon to edit: To delete a task, click the trash can icon: To indicate that no action is needed for this participant, check the box next to “No Action Needed”: You will be required to either add a task or select “No Action Needed” to complete the page. If you want to view the full list of tasks for the participant, click the shoe icon to open the “Action Needed app”: Adding or Editing a Task When you add or edit a task, you will see the following window: The following fields are required to save the task: Assign To Page Action Item Task Due Date The “Save” button will be greyed out until you complete all the required fields. Tasks will always be assigned to “Worker” by default. This means the task is for the case manager to complete. You can change this to “Participant” if the task needs to be completed by the participant. When creating a task for the participant, keep in mind that the option selected in the “Action Item” dropdown will not be displayed on the participant’s printout. You will need to be descriptive enough in the “Task” field that the participant knows what to do without seeing the “Action Item” text. If the task does not have a “Due Date”, you can select the “No Due Date” option. Accessing the Action Needed app You can access the “Action Needed app” from the “Case Management” menu when a participant is selected, as shown below: Using the Action Needed app After navigating to the “Action Needed app”, you will notice that tasks are sorted in “Worker” and “Participant” columns: To add a task, click the “Add Task” button in the upper left.
