Termination of Community Action Agency Status of Community Relations - Social Development Commission (SDC)
According to Sec. 678C of the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Act (42 USC 9915) and Wis. Stat. § 49.265(2)(c), the Department of Children and Families must hold a public hearing to inform DCF's final decision regarding termination of the Social Development Commission's designation as a community action agency.
CSBG State Plan
According to Section 678(C) of the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Act, CSBG grant recipients must prepare and submit an application and plan, referred to as the CSBG State Plan to receive CSBG funding. As the grant recipient, DCF is also required to hold a public and legislative hearing for questions and comments on the State Plan, which is revised bi-annually. On revision years, the State Plan is made available on the CSBG Website for public and legislative review prior to the hearing. The hearing date and time is posted on the public meetings webpage, the Wisconsin State Journal, the capitol bulletin and on the CSBG webpage, as seen below.
