ParentPowered empowers parents as early learning partners by sparking everyday teachable moments. And now the Preschool Development Grant is making this resource available to your families - for free!

Families want the best for their children. But even the most advantaged parents often lack the early education expertise to turn everyday moments into teachable moments. The ParentPowered parenting curriculum gives just-right insights that any family can use to become an at-home learning partner.

The evidence-based ParentPowered approach provides parents of starting at birth with age-appropriate facts and tips aligned with state and Head Start learning standards. Research shows the ParentPowered approach can lead to 2-3 months of additional growth over the course of a school year.

The program is designed to be as accessible as possible. The content is sent via text message, the only technology used by 98% of US adults. Every message is written at a third grade reading level. Activities are embedded in everyday moments, like preparing food or taking a bath. Tips and activities never require extra materials or screen time. The curriculum is currently available in English, Arabic, Chinese, Hmong, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Burmese. There is also a language versioning available in Potawatomi.
