October 27 LCEY Meeting - Recording Available

The Governor’s Leadership Council on Early Years (LCEY) met on Thursday, October 27. Council members heard updates from DCF's Division of Early Care and Education on Project Growth and from the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) about their Raising Wisconsin advocacy work. The meeting featured a panel discussion among Partner Up! grant recipients and a presentation from one community about forming an effective community coalition to address child care needs. You can access the recording on the LCEY webpage, by expanding the October 27, 2022 - Virtual Meeting accordion.

Celebrate an ECE Professional from your Community

Early care and education professionals are the backbones of communities in Wisconsin. They see first-hand the challenges families face in our state as they balance work, overwhelming schedules, the risks of a pandemic, and their children's many needs. Through the Featured ECE newsletter stories, we have had the pleasure of showcasing many early care professionals from across WI to celebrate them, their achievements, and to highlight the impact that they have in their communities. View their stories here.

We want you to nominate your favorite ECE professional to be featured in our newsletter so that we can continue to celebrate the amazing work that is being done across Wisconsin to support children birth to five. To nominate someone, send their name, contact info, and a brief statement about why you are nominating them to wipdg@wisconsin.gov.
