Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
The licensee bears full responsibility for developing all aspects of the correction plan and describing those corrective actions in the Correction Plan column of the CFS-294. The licensing specialist should not take on the responsibility of developing an acceptable plan for the licensee. The licensing specialist may provide technical assistance to the licensee, if requested, such as offering examples of ways the violation could be corrected and what might be done to ensure that future violations do not occur. It is ultimately the licensee’s decision as to how to proceed.
The licensee must indicate the date by which each correction will be completed in the Expected Completion Date column and must sign the form. The licensing specialist does not fill in the correction plan on the CFS-294 for the licensee. Licensees should be reminded at the close of the exit interview that the correction plan will be posted on the Regulated Child Care and YoungStar Public Search website and therefore, can be reviewed by anyone with Internet access.
