9.2.1 When the Correction Plan is Unacceptable

If the licensing specialist determines that the correction plan is unacceptable because it is too vague or incomplete, the proposed correction dates are untimely, or the plan is unsigned, the licensing specialist returns the CFS-294 to the licensee and requests the submittal of a revised correction plan within a new time limit. The licensing specialist may send a cover letter, or email, or speak directly with the licensee about why the originally submitted plan is unacceptable. If the licensing specialist is requesting a change in the correction plan or the proposed correction date, the licensing specialist and the licensee can agree to this change over the telephone and the change can be noted on the licensing specialist’s copy of the correction plan, along with the date that the conversation took place. If the licensee submits a second correction plan that is again unacceptable, the licensing specialist should consult with the licensing manager/supervisor regarding whether to proceed with an enforcement action. This may result in the issuance of an imposed plan of correction under the authority of Wis. Stat. § 48.715(2)(e) or other actions authorized under Wis. Stat. § 48.715.
