6. Determining Subsequent Action

Once the licensing specialist concludes the desk review or on-site investigation, s/he summarizes the investigation findings using the investigative report guidelines outlined in the chapter titled Complaint Investigation - Licensed Facilities. In addition, the licensing specialist must assess whether s/he must issue a Noncompliance Statement and Correction Plan, increase monitoring or issue an enforcement action. The licensing specialist must discuss the need for serious enforcement actions with the licensing manager/licensing supervisor.
