Wisconsin Works (W-2) Manual
When appropriate, W-2Wisconsin Works applicants may be assigned to search for unsubsidized employment as a condition of eligibility. This is commonly referred to as “up-front job search.” If an applicant fails to participate in up-front job search requirements without good cause, the W-2 agency may deny the individual’s application.
In addition, W-2 participants may be required to look for employment. If a W-2 participant fails to cooperate with employment search requirements without good cause, the W-2 agency may close the participant’s case. (See 11.4.1)
