9.1 Establishing Jurisdiction for a Complaint about a Public School Program

Each complaint regarding a public school program must be screened to determine if some or all of the allegations made about the program concern rules identified in the Annual Health and Safety Rule Tag and therefore fall within the jurisdiction of BECR. All complaints received in the BECR regional office alleging rule violations in a public school program should be delegated to an available licensing specialist who will make a determination regarding each allegation and what specific rule may have been violated.
