5.0 - Access to WISCCRS / WebI

In order to administer the certification program under s. 48.651 certification workers will require access to the Wisconsin Child Care Regulatory System (WISCCRS). WISCCRS is a web-based system that includes information on all regulated child care programs in the State of Wisconsin. It allows licensing and certification staff to view and / or enter applicant / provider information into the database via the internet.

See Section 2.3 regarding Conflict of Interest.

Certification workers will also require access to WebI (Web Intelligence Reports). Users must apply for security clearance for WebI and WISCCRS separately. Individuals who have access to the WebI (WISCCRS folder) will be able to run reports on both licensed and certified provider information. Certification workers should not release information pertaining to another regulatory agency, however.

WebI certification reports include, but are not limited to:

See more information regarding WISCCRS and WebI.

All county / tribal employees or individuals from subcontracting agencies who have access to WISCCRS and / or WebI shall use and access these systems for valid work-related reasons.

There are multiple child care systems that local agency workers must access. The Security Access Guide for Child Care Agency Workers provides instructions for requesting access to WISCCRS and WebI.

Certification agencies are responsible for notifying the department when WISCCRS or WebI access should be deleted/terminated for specific agency workers that may resign, retire or change job duties.
