11 - Compliance Statement

When no violations are observed during a monitoring site visit for the selected rules under review, a Compliance Statement form is used to document compliance (except initial and relocation visits).

Starting in January 2020, a WISCCRS-generated compliance statement shall be used/issued and uploaded. The compliance statement identifies the administrative rule areas that were reviewed during the visit and states that no violations were observed on the date of the visit for those specific administrative rules. The certification worker uploads the completed form into WISCCRS, which will then display it on the department’s Regulated Child Care and YoungStar Public Search website to show that no rule violations were noted during that visit.

In the example below, a site visit was conducted on 1/10/13 and the Compliance Statement indicates the certified operator was monitored for only two rule groups: Group Size and Transportation. Under the Transportation Rule Group, only two specific rules were monitored: Written permission to transport children and vehicle alarm requirements.

The Compliance Statement above documents and conveys to the operator, and on the public search website, that although a site visit was conducted on 1/10/13 and a Compliance Statement issued, the operator was only monitored for two rules or rule groups.

Note: The compliance statement was updated October 2019.

A certification worker should, whenever possible, send a report (Noncompliance Statement or Compliance Statement) of the certification worker’s findings within 10 business days (except initial/relocation visits).
