7.2.5 Denying or Terminating an Unsubsidized Employment Case Management Placement

If an individual placed in a CMDCMDCase Management Denied, CMUCMUCase Management Underemployed, CMFCMFCase Management Follow-Up, CMF+CMF+Case Management Follow-Up Plus, or CMJCMJCase Management Job-Ready declines case management services or does not participate without good cause, the FEPFEPFinancial and Employment Planner must:

  1. Terminate eligibility for the placement; and
  2. Document the refusal in PIN comments.

CWWCWWCARES Worker Web will issue a W-2W-2Wisconsin Works denial notice.

There is no hourly payment reduction for noncooperation in CMD, CMU, CMF, CMF+, or CMJ placements. However, the FEP may close a CMD or CMJ placement if an individual:

  • Does not cooperate with job search requirements;
  • Misses an EPEPEmployability Plan review appointment without good cause (see 11.5.1); or
  • Loses contact with the FEP.

The FEP should close a CMF, CMF+, or CMU placement if:

  • A participant fails to attend an EP or eligibility review appointment without good cause; or
  • The FEP has made repeated and varied attempts but is unable to connect with a participant.

Eligibility reviews must be conducted at least once every six months to maintain nonfinancial eligibility.
