2.1 Special Circumstances for Storage of Fingerprint Results

In accordance with requirements established by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, paper fingerprint check results should be scanned and uploaded into the licensee’s record in WISCCRS. (WISCCRS is secure and access is limited.) The paper fingerprint check results must then be shredded.

If a paper copy of fingerprint check results is contained in a paper file of a closed facility, it must be purged and shredded before the file is sent to the State Records Center (or, if stored on-site, the regional licensing office storage area).
