5.5 When there are Pending Charges of a Serious Crime

Under the background check law, regulatory approval may not be granted or continued and residency is barred if the applicant, licensee, certified operator or a household member has pending charges for a crime identified under Wis. Stat. § 48.686(1)(c) (not substantially related offenses), until the CBU obtains information regarding the final disposition of the charge (or delinquency petition) indicating the person’s eligibility.
