4.2 - Responding to a Complaint/Incident Not Requiring Immediate Attention

When the allegation(s) in the complaint do not pose a risk of imminent danger to the children in care, the certification worker shall begin the investigation as soon as possible, but no later than ten working days from intake of the complaint, as this will help to ensure that evidence is fresh and witnesses will have the clearest memory of the facts.
