3.2 - Determining Regulatory Authority

The certification worker has authority and responsibility to investigate complaints that involve an alleged violation of certification administrative rules. The certification worker shall screen complaints to determine 1) whether the allegation(s) meets the definition of a complaint (see section 1.1.) and, therefore, falls within agency’s regulatory authority to investigate, or 2) the appropriate unit or agency to conduct the investigation.
