Child Care Certification Policy Manual
When the applicant submits the completed forms/information, the certification worker must, as part of the screening process, carefully review the forms and information submitted in order to make a determination regarding the applicant / operator’s qualifications. The certification worker must consider the following when making a determination regarding the applicant / operator’s qualifications or eligibility for certification:
Ability, age, and health
Training
DCF Background check eligibility determinations
Compliance with certification standards DCF 202 Administrative Code.
Note: An applicant who fails to provide the certification agency with accurate and truthful information or knowingly and intentionally provides false information may be subject to denial / revocation under DCF 202.06.
