Child Care Certification Policy Manual
Required if the applicant is also a foster parent or holds a license to care for adults at the premises.
The intent of this rule is to make sure that each regulatory agency is aware of the fact that the individual is seeking certification approval.
It is important that a foster care licensing agency knows that child care is being provided in the home so they can take this into consideration when placing foster care children in the home.
The form is only required with the initial certification application.
Note: In accordance with DCF 56 a Level 3 to 5 foster care home may not also be licensed under DCF 250 or certified under DCF 202. If a certification worker discovers the foster care agency has mistakenly approved (by signing the Regulatory Agency Approval form) a Level 3 to 5 foster care home to also be certified, it is important the certification worker contact the foster care agency before proceeding with the certification application.
