Fact Finding The Fact Finding page is where WWP users enter and track Fact Finding requests for Wisconsin Works (W-2), Job Access Loans (JALs), and Emergency Assistance (EA). This page is also where users can access Fact Finding forms and view all Fact Findings requests for a given PIN. Adding a Request To start the Fact Finding request process for a specific individual, access the Fact Finding page by clicking on Case Management in the navigation toolbar, then clicking on Fact Finding. Fact Finding Page The Fact Finding page shows previous request(s) for a specific individual. New Fact Finding Requests can be added on this page. Forms These can be used at various points throughout the Fact Finding process. Click on the form to open and print it for the petitioner. Previous Fact Finding Requests This is a list of the petitioners’ previous Fact Finding request(s). If there are no previous requests, No Fact Finding Requests displays. +Add Fact Finding Request Click the button to add a Fact Finding Request. Add Fact Finding Request Details On this page, the Attendee Name is an agency worker, usually the worker who made the decision being disputed. The Coordinator Name should be populated by the agency’s Fact Finding Coordinator. Fact Finding Request Status Select the appropriate request status from the drop-down menu. The Fact Finding decision must be issued within 5 working days after the Review Date There are several Request Status options to choose from: In Progress – The request status defaults to In Progress. Abandoned – This should be used when the petitioner did not attend the Fact Finding Review appointment. The petitioner has 7 working days from the Fact Finding Review appointment to provide good cause for missing the review appointment. If you choose this status, you must enter the Outcome Date. Decided – This should be used when a Fact Finding decision was made. You must select the Outcome, whether it was in favor of the agency’s decision, in favor of the petitioner, or split between both the agency and the petitioner. You must enter the Outcome Date. Date Agency Complied is required when the outcome was in favor of the petitioner and when split between the agency and petitioner. Denied – This should be used when the applicant’s request is being denied for one of the following reasons: Non-appealable Issue Same Request Previously Abandoned Untimely Request If you choose this status, an Outcome Date must be entered. Withdrawn – This is used when the petitioner requests to withdraw their Fact Finding Request, or when the Fact Finding Request was resolved prior to the Fact Finding Review appointment taking place.
