The Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies (CommNS) builds capacity and knowledge in community, civil society, and nonprofit studies through the integration of action and applied research, education, outreach, and engagement. Past PDG activities included conducting focused interviews with Wisconsin's vulnerable populations as part of the 2020 Needs Assessment. You can view that research in the PDG Sandbox.

2023 PDG funds will be used to:

  • Conduct case studies with communities from diverse demographic and geographic areas of the state that represent a range of transition systems, utilizing qualitative and quantitative sources of data and mixed methods and cross-case analysis
  • Produce a comprehensive report and community-specific briefs
