The Index button in the toolbar functions in much the same way as an index in a book. The index in the W-2 Manual provides a list of key words and concepts. Click on the Index button to see the key words. Each indexed word is a link that will display the exact page(s) where the keyword is found.
After you have located the page containing the indexed word, if the page has a lot of text, an additional search can be done using Internet Explorer. Using the Edit menu found at the very top, left side of your browser window, click Find. In the Find What box, enter the text for which you are searching. Click Find Next. Your results will be highlighted on the page. If the text appears more than once on the page, click Find Next again and the next result will be highlighted.
