17.4.1 Amounts and Issuance
A JALJAL can be approved for an amount between $25 and $1,600.
In any 12-month period, the maximum outstanding loan balance for any individual is $1,600. Individuals may have more than one open JAL, there is no limit to the number of open JALs for an individual.
Once a JAL application is approved by the W-2W-2 agency’s authorized approver, a check will be generated in CARES that evening and printed the following day.
All JAL checks will be mailed to the W-2 agency for distribution.
