2.10.4 Time Limit Notifications to Participants

FEPFEPFinancial and Employment Planners must explain to W-2W-2Wisconsin Works applicants and participants that W-2 Employment PositionCommunity Service Job, Trial Employment Match Program, and W-2 Transition payments are time-limited.

FEPs and participants in paid placements should discuss and create a plan that matches participants’ employment goals, through building skills and training, which line up with opportunities in the local labor market.

At a minimum, the FEP must go over the participant’s time limit status:

  • At every eligibility review;
  • At every employability plan review; and
  • When assigning participants to a new paid placement.

For individuals in the CMD (case management denied) placement, policy requires that the FEP reassess monthly to see if the individual is appropriate for a time limit extension (see 2.10.6.8.1).

Time limit information is also included on Notices of Eligibility when eligibility reviews are completed.
