The W-2 agency may also complete the following to prevent fraud or errors in cases they may find questionable:
Review information in CWW , BRITS , and ECF during the application process for any program integrity red flags or comments from other programs.
Check data exchanges in CWW to verify income is being reported the same by the employer as the applicant or participant. (See 13.3 for more information)
If there is reasonable suspicion of duplicate benefits in another state, the W-2 agency may:
Ask the BWF Work Programs Help Desk to check for the applicant in the quarterly PARIS report; or
Conduct their own out of state inquiry using other state’s contact information found here: https://www.acf.hhs.gov/ofa/map/about/help-families.
